Fellow Members,

Our dynamic Toastmaster of the Day, Gouri led a well-organized and reinvigorating meeting last night.

On the menu:
  • Eloise delivered a speech overflowing with strong emotions:  the Shulamite woman's love for King Solomon.  This was project #3 - The Monodrama - from the Interpretive Manual.  A unique kind of speech that you really want to hear if you get the chance.
  • Harry practiced his Humorous speech in preparation for the District 46 Humorous speech contest.  With Todd, Advanced Public Speakers has two members on the District  46 stage.  Harry, Todd, you make us proud.
  • Have you ever hear about the stream of consciousness?  Ivana selected this narrative mode as the backbone to a unique Table Topics session.  We all had the chance to practice this literary style and step out of comfort zone.
  • We voted and adopted the Club Constitution from TI.  The club Secretary and President signed it.  This brings us one step closer to having all our paperwork in order.  Next, the Bylaws adoption.
  • We immortalized our new club banner by taking a picture of it with meeting participants.  The photo will be posted on the club's website.  Speaking of the banner, I will be a the District Conference this weekend for the parade of banners.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 6pm.  The Toastmaster of the Day is Harry Aneziris.  I sense there will be a palatable holidays spirit underlying this meeting.
