Fellow Members, and honored Guests,

The meeting tonight packed a lot, thanks to our dynamic and talented Toastmasters of the Day, Harry Aneziris.  The meeting was well organized and moved from the section to section flawlessly.

There were three speeches tonight:
  1. Steve's speech title was "A Sticky Subject".  And it was, not in the way you may think.  The speech was both informative, fun, and well structured.  Most of all, Steve showed us how well a speaker can connect with an audience.
  2. Georgia delivered a very challenging speech: read a play with multiple characters.  She moved through it with brio.  Members of the audience learned from her by watching how she handled the challenge.
  3. Jose gave a speech from the public relations manual.  He managed to give a talk then led a questions and answers session.  He showed us how to manage questions from the audience with composure and professionalism.

Chetan ran Table Topics by showing Holidays-related pictures that we had to comment on.  We had the chance to hear:
  • A historical and entertaining perspective on Santa
  • How to keep your 2012 plans in check
  • A reminder about how important it is to give, more than to receive
  • That Christmas shopping can be obnoxious
  • A story of a wonderful Holidays tradition in India

The cookies, chocolates, popcorn and other niceties didn't stand a chance on the meeting table.

See you soon on January 25, 2012.  Same time, same location.

Best,
